These records consist of the U.S. census bureau maps and data used by the state to carry out redistricting plans as stipulated in the Constitution of Virginia (Article II, Section 6). Map cabinets 1 through 8, 17, and 18 contain mylar maps of each county and city highway and voting precincts. Map cabinets 9 through 14, 19, 20 contain highway maps and overlays of voting precincts for each county and city, by voting precinct and census block. File box 2 contains the population data by the applicable area units for each county and city. Map file 21 contains a mylar set of enumeration district maps for Virginia.
